A strategic partnership allows RenGeneva Design customers guilt free ready-to-wear Ren Geneva Design continues to be the frontrunner in the eco fashion industry with their cutting edge Fashionably Neutral Carbon Program initiative. Specific pieces in Geneva's spring/summer 2008 collection have a known carbon footprint and include carbon offsets in the purchase price.

August 27 thru 30, 2007, at WWD Magic in Las Vegas, Geneva will showcase five garments, including a wedding dress, bearing the Carbon Neutral Clothing (CNC) certification mark. The calculation begins with the cultivating of ethically sourced hemp and silk fibers and follows the process through the manufacturing and shipping process. Each certified garment has produced approximately 185 pounds of CO? by the time it reaches the designer's doorstep. Wind power offsets are purchased through Live It Green, llc to neutralize the calculated environmental impact created by the production of the clothing. The goal is for each garment in the spring/summer collection to bear the CNC certification mark to coincide with availability in retail outlets in early 2008. 'sustainability is our number one priority, says Geneva, who continues to be at the forefront of the eco fashion industry by working exclusively with organic textiles and fair trade labor. Her newest design collection, is a line of luxury fashions inspired by Japanese architecture and made of sustainable materials. Her intention is to promote traceability and focus on fabrics that come directly from weavers who live in the villages where the land is cultivated, fibers are grown and ultimately spun.
