August 18, 2005 (Los Angeles) Inspired
by runway fashion, the folklore and fairytales of eastern Europe and
Russia are influencing the looks this fall at
Rampage Stores. The emphasis
is on print and pattern and heavy embellishment. There is a lot of
embroidery and brocade ribbon trim. The proportions are changing longer
more voluminous silhouettes with cropped bottoms and shrunken jackets.
It's all about volume now.
Colors prevalent in the Fall Collections at
Rampage Stores are brown and
neutrals with spice tones of orange, amber, cognac as well as mixed
with teals/greens. Key silhouettes and accessories featured will be
knickers, poet/peasant tops, vests, corset tops, cropped military
jackets, gaucho/cropped pants, wide-leg slouchy trousers, Empire seam
dresses and tops, tunic length tops for belting, sweater coats, shrugs
and boleros, boots, and wide corset belts. The collection includes
velvet, burnout velvet, menswear patterns, fur/suede, lace, and silk
charmeuse.
