Founded in 2007, Charleston Fashion Week continues to celebrate the local design community from boutique owners and emerging local talent to Charleston's fashionable elite and visitors alike.  Echoing Bryant Park's Mercedes-benz Fashion Week, towering tents in downtown Charleston's Marion Square will hosts the five-day fate.  More than 100 models walk the 48-foot runway in collections from local talent and nationally renowned design houses.  A make-up tent, accessories lounge, photographer pit, and VIP area complete the space where more than 6,000 guests are expected for CFW 2009.

With nine emerging designers collections and more than 30 participating local retailers featuring their high-end wares, the shows will preview the best of spring and fall 2009 ready-to-wear collections.  High profile designers and industry authorities will lend their expertise by emceeing the runway shows, judging the design competition and hosting the Finale Gala.
