Haute.Lanta Fashion Week
was created and organized by The Couture Connoisseur Fashion
Network in order to provide a platform for designers to showcase
their upcoming collections to buyers, consumers, and
international media.
The city of Atlanta is one of the fastest growing metropolitan
areas in the U.S. and has received national attention for it's
professional designers, musical talent, and high profile
celebrity presence. Although this is true, Atlanta's design
community has been overlooked and there has not been a
successful and continuous week of high fashion events....until
now. We entertain hundreds of event attendees, comprised of the
international press, store buyers, retailers, celebrities,
style-makers, and fashion forward socialites, in which
Haute.Lanta Fashion Week
provides an excellent opportunity for American and international
designers to gain much needed recognition.
This fashion extravaganza is an annual event that not only
benefits charity, but also brings a positive economic impact to
the city of Atlanta. Last year, a Phoenix Award was given to the
Couture Connoisseur Fashion Network for its commitment to the
Atlanta design community and "commendable contribution to its
2007 beneficiary Save the Children." HLFW showcases the
undeniable creative talent of local fashion artists and
designers from all over the world
International Designers: For the 2007 debut, an
impressive line-up of thirty (30) international high fashion,
couture, and cutting-edge designers were selected to present
their collections at the First Annual Haute.Lanta Fashion Week
including Lourdes Libman, Adolfo Sanchez, Andres Aquino, Kas
Collection, Annette Bertin, Christine Philip, Adele Yen, Shan
Keith, Adam Zyo, Elli Owen, Project Runway's Zulema Griffin, and
many more. Six-foot tall beauties floated down the runway in
wares that ranged from thousands to tens of thousands of
dollars.
Diamond Exhibits: During the opening presentation, HLFW
displayed over five million dollars in diamond-encrusted beauty
products courtesy of H. Couture beauty, a New York based company
owned by twenty-five year old million-hieress Taysha Smith-valez.
This year, we are bringing Fashion Week in Atlanta to another
level with bigger and better surprises in store. HLFW successfully
integrates its avant-garde and couture collections in one of
Atlanta's hautest venues, while utilizing exquisite set design,
premium production, and unforgettable nightlife. Atlanta will
quickly establish itself as a sophisticated fashion capital
inspiring and rejuvenating design in the local retail industry.
