"The Igedo Fashion Fairs are the center of the fashion business in Dusseldorf. With clearly structured trade fair segments we present the full spectrum of the market thereby bringing all key trading partners from throughout the world together in Dusseldorf," commented Frank Hartmann, Managing Director of the Igedo Company, organizer of the fashion trade fairs. "The response from exhibitors is considerably more positive than it was in previous seasons. They are especially pleased with the international diversity of the buyers." The Igedo Fashion Fairs Dusseldorf will have a more compact hall layout for the new season and halls 4, 5, 7, 9 - 12, 15 and 17 will all be occupied. "In view of the incorporation of the 'Style & Signatures' segment into our new trade fair project WEARe Dusseldorf which will debut from February 8 - 10 in Hall 8b, we decided to shorten the distances visitors have to walk and to move the very successful Fashion Gallery from Hall 14 into Hall 12. However, this will not affect the range of presented products," explained Frank Hartmann. The Four Igedo Fashion Fairs at a Glance CPD Dusseldorf (Halls 9 -12, Hall 17)
CPD Dusseldorf is Germany's most important specialist
trade fair for women's wear. About 1,100 exhibitors from
52 countries will display their collections.
HMD Dusseldorf (Halls 7.0 + 5) The international men's wear trade fair is the only one of its kind in Germany. At the shows last staging in July 2007, 100 exhibitors showcased the entire range of male attire: from classic suits, pants, shirts, knitwear and supersize to sporty casual wear. For the February 2008 event, companies such as Ferkinghoff, Meyer-hosen, Mode Monte Carlo, Ploenes and Yongo Europe have registered. Presenting itself as a special segment for high-quality designer fashion plus Italian labels will be the Galleria Uomo with its exclusive design. Selected manufacturers including Angelo Nardelli, BC Collection, Ciesseffe and Torras will present sophisticated basics, unusual designer pieces and top international labels. Global Fashion (Hall 4) At the international sourcing trade fair Global Fashion, brand manufacturers seeking production partners can get information on commission manufacturing, procurement and private label manufacturing. The event is a must for 99% of the European wholesalers and 450 exhibitors from 17 countries are expected. These companies offer different areas of production and individual solutions for the clothing industry and large scale retail. This makes Global Fashion the largest and most important information and communication hub for the procurement industry in Europe. Body Look (Hall 15) At Germany's only international specialist trade fair for body, beach and leg wear, around 300 brands such as bruno banani, Felina, Lejaby and Simone Perele will be presented. As one of the first major trade fairs of the year, Body Look will be a key trend and mood indicator for the European lingerie sector for the 2008/2009 Autumn/winter season. New at Body Look will be an information and event section incorporated into the lingerie and corsetry segments. The Designer Pavilion will be located in an even more central location in Hall 15 and will serve as yet another experience area. Designers such as Accademia Reale Moda e Costume, Kahiki Surf and Matteo Pecchioli from Italy, Afterwear -- Signe Tolstrup from Denmark and V.O.V.A. from Latvia will present new lingerie and beachwear creations. After the successful debut of the lifestyle brand area organized at the initiative of a group of exhibitors at Body Look in July 2007, the Intimate Park will be further jointly developed by exhibitors and the Igedo Company. A special highlight at the Igedo Fashion Fairs Dusseldorf will be the DMI Fashion Day of the German Fashion Institute. On February 12, this event will provide a complete overview of women's, men's and casual wear. Presentations of innovative products and a selection of the most up-to-date trend fabrics will provide in-depth information on the latest developments.
