Gilboa is a mini ERP system developed in order to replace an old system used by "Asiv Circular knitting plant" for the last 20 years. The old system runs on the Magic platform OS dos. The new system was planed and analyzed from scratch using system analysis rules and standards. Thus we cam say that the system is a new system. The analysis procedure is a joined team work including Asiv's floor management people, sales people and the accounting staff. The system is windows based using client server methodology. Summary description

 Master File's operation module

Threads in use catalog, Master File screen.

This screen manages the threads use by the system. Embedded an elaborate search capability, Enables an easy extraction of old threads from historical directory.

Threads bill of materials screen.

This screen manages the threads bill of materials for each thread. The screen pops while editing the thread data. 

Cloths in use catalog, Master File screen.

This screen manages the definition of screen cloths use by the system. The screen is connected to the calibration data and contains each possibilities calibration of this cloth

Machines groups in use, Master file screen.

This Screen from manage the machines groups, a group of machinery is defined as machine or Number of machinery from one identical manufacturer and has identity attribute.

Employee list and permits, master file screen

This screen manages the workers table, use by the system. The worker data contains the attribute used by the system, indicating rolls, status, and so forth. 

States export parameters, master File screen

This screen manages the states table. The table registered all the parameters related to the state that products are exportation to.

Calibration services module

The calibration process is the first step in manufacturing process. Begin with planning, set up ends with knitting and shipping. Each kind of cloth is a batch it can be split into sub batches upon a change in one of the factors like thread batch or a machine group and so forth. The system enables handling a calibration step for any possible combination of factors. Calibration reports are available and open to alteration.

Manufacturing module

Manufacturing SOW (scope of work) begin with a client order, ordering cloths of several thread and pattern. Each product in the SOW is derivative out of a calibration process. Thus the system enable to create a client order entity, the order is divided to work order and batches. Since priority of each bath is given, the system indicates the manufacturing plan and the priority of machines loading.

Deployments module

The deployment process is based on clients' orders and the manufacturing process. Thus based on the rolls manufacturing results, and the orders data, we can plan delivery. The system enables to query these two entities and decide the deployment acts.

Billing module

The system create invoice and prepared the concerning data to be send to Bookkeeping module.

The system does not include a bookkeeping module, the system link to the plant existing bookkeeping.

Stock and inventory module

The stock module is based on simple principle, a thread take a part in several batches, batches are determined at the time they are recorded in. A batch is use in several cloth batches, thus we are able to calculate the consumption of each batch in a given finished good easily, summation and compeer it to the amount receivable in order to display the inventory picture.

Needles and spare parts are handled separately in standard path. Actually a small inventory system

Use for needles, spare parts, other goods consumption by the plant.
