Tukatech announces that Arshad Sattar, managing
director of Timex Ltd and Timex Europe, will co-host a case study
presentation during the Fall 2009 Technology Solutions Fashion IT Seminar
Series. Outlining Timex's development process using Tukatech's 3D sample
making software -- e-fit Simulator by TukaT -- at its large-scale garment
manufacturing and export facilities, the free presentation will be held on
Wednesday, September 30 from 12:30 - 1:30 p.m. This program joins other case
study and roundtable presentations scheduled for the September 30-october 2,
2009 edition of Material World & Technology Solutions and the LA
International Textiles Show at the California Market Center in Los Angeles.
During the presentation, the benefits of 3D digital sample making will be discussed as Sattar shares his experience in transitioning to digital samples for several brand and retailers, including Maggy London, NEXT, House of Fraser, Gary Weber, C & A, M & S, Wallis, CK Woman and more.
Timex Group is one of the leading apparel export manufacturers in Sri Lanka. With more than 20 factories, they are the largest dress and sportswear manufacturer -- making more than 1 million garments per month. Timex Group has also been a satisfied Tukatech customer for more than 5 years working 100 percent on digital development with more than 50 CAD and e-fit stations.
"I'm happy to talk about what we have achieved with 3D samples," says Sattar. "Our customers have experienced the benefits, and our own internal costs have been dramatically reduced. E-fit Simulator has truly reduced our approval time from weeks to days, and has moved Timex into a new, better league of apparel manufacturers who are benefitting from this technology."
Tukatech will also host a separate, one-hour evening session on each day of Material World (September 30 - October 2), at 6:30pm. Mr. Raj Sareen, Tukatech Director, will present three case studies that outline how e-fit Simulator by TukaT has been used in real-world situations with retailers including Marks and Spencer, Donna Morgan, NEXT, Greg Norman and in e-retail. Topics include Virtual Sample Making, Virtual Merchandising and Sales, and Virtual Fitting Rooms. Find additional information, and register to attend this free seminar at www.tukatech.com/3Dseminar.
As part of the full scale educational conference at the September 30-october 2, 2009 Material World, Technology Solutions and the LA International Textile Show, the Tukatech Timex presentation will be joined by other Fashion IT seminar programs touching on Design & Merchandising Solutions, Product Development Solutions, Sourcing & Supply Chain Management Solutions and Building Better Technology Vendor Relationships.
