expert, has appointed
Alice Rodrigues to the
position of consultant
for its AlvaInsight
apparel fit advisory
service.
The appointment comes in
support of Alvanon's
continuing growth and
expansion into new
market sectors.
In her
capacity as AlvaInsight
consultant, Rodrigues
will provide
comprehensive fit and
sizing related strategic
solutions for all
categories of Alvanon's
apparel brand, retailer
and manufacturer
clients.

brings with her deep
knowledge in apparel
manufacturing, retail
technology and fashion
design, a skill set that
perfectly meets the
consulting needs of our
client base," says Ed
Gribbin, president,
Alvanon, Inc. "She is
well equipped to analyze
statistical marketing
and technical
information and,
ultimately, help our
customers achieve a
better fit, reach a
broader market sector
and decrease product
returns for their
apparel products."
The
AlvaInsight consulting
service, which
identifies current and
future fit trends for
target demographics,
analyzes fit from
product development
through to sourcing and
quality control, and
assists its clients in
solutions testing and
implementation.
Rodrigues comes to Alvanon from Chico's FAS, Inc., where she served as manager of pattern design & technical design manager for all bottoms and activewear. Her professional experience includes technical design, product fitting and patternmaking positions at leading brands, including J Jill Group, Talbots and Susan Bristol, Inc.
In
teaching capacities,
Rodrigues has developed
and taught courses in
advanced tailoring and
construction techniques.
She holds
an Associate of Arts
from The Fashion
Institute of Design and
Merchandising, and
earned credits at The
Moore College of Art and
The Art Institute of
Boston.
