The Limited Brands has changed the company name to L Brands Inc.
The Company's founder, chairman & CEO, Leslie H. Wexner opened the first store (The Limited) in 1963 at the Kingsdale Shopping Center in Columbus, Ohio. The Company began trading over-the-counter in 1969 and was listed on the New York Stock Exchange in 1982. In 2009, Limited Brands operated more than 2,900 specialty stores across the continental United States and 2009 annual sales of approximately $8.6 billion and employed more than 90,000 associates throughout the United States.
Limited Brands, through Victoria's Secret, Pink, Bath & Body Works, La Senza, C.O. Bigelow, White Barn Candle Co. and Henri Bendel, is an international company that sells lingerie, personal care and beauty products, apparel and accessories. The company operates numerous specialty stores in the United States, and as of its brands are sold in more than 700 company-owned and franchised additional locations world-wide (stores in 2010). Additionally, the company's products are available through the Victoria's Secret Catalogue and online at www.VictoriasSecret.com, www.BathandBodyWorks.com, www.HenriBendel.com and www.LaSenza.com.
