We hope you really enjoy fashionable clothing ... Style,
Design, Elegance ... and more.
In 1970 Bill Blass emerged in the fashion world with a
strong sense of American chic sportswear. The clothes
showcased a combination of flawless tailoring and luxurious
European fabrics from worsed gaberdines to wool crepes. The
special attention to detail and craft defined Bill Blass as
having the finest and most beautiful tailoring in America.
By the late 70's, Blass had attracted an elite clientele,
which included Jacqueline Kennedy, Nancy Kissinger, and
Gloria Vanderbilt.
Bill Blass began to explore new fabrication and techniques
in the 1980's. In particular, he explored the wide range of
creative possibilities found with double-faced fabrics.
In the 1990's, Bill Blass started to play with positive and
negative space, inherent in reversible double cloth and
created a clean, architectural element in his coats and
suits.
In January 2007, NexCen Brands Inc. acquired Bill Blass and
two susidiaries. The designers that have succeeded Mr. Blass
successfully relayed the image and legacy of the brand while
bringing their own signature style to each collection. In
December of 2008, Peacock International Holdings, LLC, now
known as the Bill Blass Group, LLC, purchased the worldwide
rights to the Blass trademark and the Blass Licenses already
signed.
