Association of the Nonwoven Fabrics Industry : INDA is the trade association representing the nonwoven fabrics industry since 1968. They are an organization committed to energetic action on behalf of the nonwovens industry. Throughout the year, their conferences and action-oriented committees bring industry professionals together to explore the most pressing trends and issues in the areas of government relations, technology, marketing and international commerce. INDA then marshals the resources of member companies to make a coordinated response that is prompt, cost-effective and industry-wide.
What are nonwoven
fabrics?
According to INDA, "Nonwoven fabrics are
broadly defined as sheet or web structures
bonded together by entangling fiber or
filaments (and by perforating films)
mechanically, thermally or chemically. They
are flat, porous sheets that are made
directly from separate fibers or from molten
plastic or plastic film. They are not made
by weaving or knitting and do not require
converting the fibers to yarn." You can
