According to Urban Dictionary, the term "manscape" or "manscaping" refers to men's grooming. This includes shaving, waxing, and cleaning up any unwanted hair. The term clearly includes the word "man" in it, so it certainly is exclusive to men. It is also defined as the continued upkeep of exceptional hygiene and strategic hair removal as they pertain to the male body. Wikipedia further defines the term, manscaping and details various types of hair removal such as depilation. This is the removal of the part of the hair above the surface of the skin. The most common form of depilation is shaving or trimming. Another option is the use of chemical depilatories, which work by breaking the disulfide bonds that link the protein chains that give hair its strength, making the hair disintegrate. Epilation is the removal of the entire hair, including the part below the skin. Methods include waxing, sugaring, epilation devices, lasers, threading, intense pulsed light, or electrology. Unwanted hair can also be removed by plucking with tweezers. Some forms of manscaping that are popular with today's modern man include eyebrow and eyelash maintenance, as well as beard scaping.
