For the first time, from September 30 - October 2, 2009 the LA International Textile Show (LA Textile) will co-locate with Material World & Technology Solutions at the California Market Center (CMC) in Los Angeles for the Fall/winter 2010/2011 seasons. This co-location will create the industry's largest, most comprehensive marketplace for apparel and home furnishing textiles, sourcing, global fashion production and supply chain resources on the west coast. LA Textile and Material World & Technology Solutions will feature over 350 exhibitors throughout the two shows and special exhibitions, an expanded seminar series, and multiple trend galleries, various hospitality events, and more.

 

Hosted by the California Market Center since 1993, LA Textile is Los Angeles original and primary textile and design trade show.  The LA Textile Show will bring together a tremendous selection of over 150 leading mills and agents from the US, Europe, Asia, South America and other countries to exhibit in the CMC Penthouse, Floor 13 A and B, as well as in the CMC's permanent textile and trim showrooms on floors 6B and 7A & B.  The selection of resources offered includes a wide array of textile, trim and service provider offerings in five key style categories:  Luxe, Casual, Innovation (Tailored & Performance), Trims, and Design & Direction.

 

Material World & Technology Solutions will feature an array of exhibitors showcasing apparel and home furnishings textiles, IT solutions, sourcing, global fashion production and supply chain resources in the Exhibit Hall, Fashion Theater, Annex, 12C and Penthouse.

 

LA Textile and Material World & Technology Solutions combined seminar schedule will take place everyday throughout the shows. The Seminars will take place in Suite C700 or Suite C1299 beginning every morning at 9:30am (check attached seminar schedule for details). The seminars are free, and open to all registered attendees. Featured seminar presenters include, AAFA, Fashion IT Solutions, Design Options, Pantone, WGSN, Fashion Business Inc. Peclers Paris, Promostyl, Cotton Inc., and The Doneger Group.

 

On Wednesday, September 30, 2009, LA Textile will co-sponsor the opening night reception benefiting the AAFA Foundation being held at the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising (FIDM). The event will take place from 5:30pm - 7:30 pm, and LA Textile will provide complimentary shuttle service from the CMC to FIDM for all participating attendees. Tickets are $100 at the door.

 

New to LA Textile is LUXE, on aisle 100 in the penthouse of the show. LUXE will feature some of the top fancy and luxury mills offered at LA Textile. On Wednesday and Thursday of LA Textile, SENS and LA Textile will co-host the LUXE Dessert and Wine celebration from 2:00pm - 7:00pm in the LUXE section on aisle 100. Designers and Buyers are invited to mix and mingle while enjoying complimentary wine and desserts.

 

The LA Textile Show Trend Gallery will be located in the Main Lobby of the California Market Center along with a few new installations on the Penthouse level. Installations for the LA Textile Trend Gallery will be presented by renowned trend forecasting agency WGSN along with LA Textile. The Material World & Technology Solutions Trend Gallery will be located in the Lobby of the Exhibit Hall, along with a small vignette in the Main Lobby.
