A new accessories trade show THE TENDER will debut in NYC August 3 to 5, 2008, during Accessories Market Week. THE TENDER, organized by FFPAPF the leading European fashion force and owner of PRET A PORTER PARIS, ATMOSPHERE and THE BOX, will join the ranks of THE TRAIN and PLATFORM 2 fashion trade shows, as a cutting-edge event not to be missed.

Our goal is to export to the U.S. our unique brand of trade show, featuring the best collections in an artistic and beautiful environment, and to continue the collaboration between the French and American fashion communities, said Mr. Jean-pierre Mocho, Chairman, FFPAPF and Pret a Porter Paris. Therefore, we are adding an accessories show, a market were we are already present in Paris with THE BOX.

THE TENDER will showcase a tightly-edited selection of upcoming, cutting-edge, high-quality, yet afforded, women's accessories in the trademark upscale, comfortable and productive atmosphere for which THE TRAIN is known. It will also follow the successful strategy of its sister shows, launching with a small group of selective collections and building from there. The show expects to kick-off with approximately 40 collections, including handbags, jewelry, scarves, belts, hats, gloves, watches and more.

THE TENDER will be held in the permanent home of Platform 2, the new space called LA.VENUE at Terminal Stores. A former train station featuring typical early 20th century architecture, Terminal Stores is located between 11th & 12th Avenues and 27th & 28th Streets. LA.VENUE at Terminal Stores is conveniently located near other trade shows and showrooms in New York.

THE TENDER will be held regularly during Market Weeks, in January, May and August.

LA FEDERATION FRANCAISE DU PRET A PORTER FEMININ (FFPAPF) FFPAPF is a leading fashion force in Europe. Led by its Chairman, Jean-pierre Mocho, its initiatives include assisting its members by supporting designers and manufacturers, assisting designers with export development; developing international fashion shows; and training through its fashion school MOD'SPE.
