Harold's Stores, Inc. was a Dallas based chain of traditional, high-end classic styled ladies and men's specialty apparel stores. The chain operated 43 stores in 19 mid-western and southeastern states in the United States.  Prior to its bankruptcy filing, the company employed 624 people.

The company was granted bankruptcy liquidation on November 10, 2008 and began liquidating its stores immediately.

Historical Reference Prior to Bankrupcy: Harold's Stores, Inc. is a multi-channel specialty retailer of ladies' and men's apparel, including accessories and footwear. Through a chain of ladies' and men's specialty apparel stores in 19 states, the Company offers apparel to consumers primarily in the 30 to 50-year-old age group. The Company also operates a direct business consisting of catalog and Internet. As of February 2, 2008, the Company's 43 stores comprised 41 full-price retail stores and two outlet stores to clear markdowns and slow-moving merchandise. During the fiscal year ended February 2, 2008 (fiscal 2007), the Company's direct business represented approximately 7% of the total sales. More than 95% of sales consist of Harold's Stores, Inc.'s own designs controlled by its own designers and merchants, and sourced by manufacturing staff from domestic, European and Asian manufacturers.
