Kevin Johnn described his collection as a personal style statement and an experience. The Derby collection, based on the equestrian lifestyle was a spring pleasure at the 2006 Smashbox Shows. Fresh from his appearance on Project Runway, Johnn's couture mentality was evident in his inspirational tailoring and detailing. A shrunken polo top was paired a cropped tweed blazer, and snug riding pants. A silk and leather riding jacket paired with a silk jersey tank and a silk file skirt was a sexy show. Jockey inspired accent colors were transformed into Mod dresses, and final pick Last Chance included a tan linen tulip skirt with bowtie top. Kevin Johnn's entry into the Mercedes Benz Fashiom Show proved this emerging talent one to watch.
