Debuting last season at the GenArt show, Shay Todd joined ranks with the headliners, taking The Lightbox studio for her swimwear 2004 presentation. The lineup included Shay's trademark lowrise bikinis in classic jewel tones, accented by gold rings and tortoise shells, serving as modern jewelry to her urban customers. A surfer/model from Hawaiia, Shay instinctively understands beach glamour, offering up an outstanding collection of cover-ups, tunics and tennis dresses with clever swimwear construction. An exceptional cable-knit series in skintight white had front-row divas swooning and no doubt reaching for their South Beach Diet manuals. Rounding out the show was a solid offering of high-quality French terry, ranging from urban motocross-inspired jackets, to cargo pants and a signature one-piece jumpsuit. As a grand finale, Shay served up a provocative quintet of crystal-laden silhouettes, accessorized with feather boots and flesh-baring sizzle. Was the appreciative crowd applauding her stylish offerings - or the sexed-up bronze kittens who stalked the catwalk. |
