Debra Stevenson is the West Coast Bureau
Chief for Apparel Search. She oversees all design studio services
and tracks West Coast fashion, art and culture for the site’s free news
sections.
As the founding
partner of The Skyline Studios, Debra provides creative direction for
global giants and niche market brands. Through her blog, Trend Agitator,
she offers an insider’s guide to lifestyle trends and market strategy. Often
described as the new Faith Popcorn, numerous forecasting services,
media outlets and business leaders seek her insight.
For Disney she
conceived an outrageous Mercedes Benz Fashion Week debut for Alice
in Wonderland, garnering international buzz for the world’s largest
licensor. For Brighton Accessories she oversaw countless runway
shows, VIP events in China and thematic installations that delighted the
company’s loyal consumers. She was instrumental in the relaunch of Via
Spiga and Joan & David into the US market and created a sport
apparel range for NBC’s Fear Factor.
Born in sunny South
Africa, Debra was recognized by the Prince Charles Young
Entrepreneurs Trust and named amongst Boston Magazine’s “100
Interesting Women.” Media credits include WBZ-TV’s “People Are Talking,”
“Visiting with Huell Howser,” “The Rolanda Show,” APTV and Womens
Wear Daily.
Debra is an active
seminar speaker, chairs the Marketing Committee for Fashion Business Inc.
and serves on the Board of Directors at the Los Angeles Art Association.
