New York, NY: This summer's INTIMA America event being held in the North Pavilion of the Jacob Javits Center, August 3 -5, will feature on-site fashion shows and an educational seminar program.
The informative and glamorous lingerie and swimwear fashion show will take place Sunday, August 3rd and Monday, August 4th at 10:30 am and 3:30 pm. In this "must-see" event held on the show floor during the fair, INTIMA America exhibitors will be showcasing highlights from their 2004 collections in a professional runway show.
Organizing the fashion show segment of INTIMA America is well-known fashion show producer Beth Sobol, producer of the highly acclaimed Fashion Week of the Americas events held in Miami Beach. Visitors to INTIMA America can also participate in several seminars designed to provide the latest information on trends, style and design directions for the industry in 2004 and insights on better business management for the retail operation.
Headlining the program will be two presentations by Promostyl, the international design and trend agency that assists their customers in forecasting changes in the public's way of living, tastes and resulting buying preferences. One presentation will focus on the synergy between lingerie and beachwear for spring and summer 2004. Rita Nakouzi, Promostyl trend consultant, will explain how the lines are blurring between lingerie and beachwear, as both markets borrow details, shapes and fabric aspects from one another. A second seminar will address a global view on lifestyle trends, style and design for spring and summer 2004 and will be led by Richard Sardouk, Managing and Creative Director for the company in the US.
Margaret Walch, Director of the Color Association of the US, invites attendees to take a look at the hot colors and patterns for spring 2004 for intimate apparel markets.
Mercedes Gonzales of The Global Purchasing Group, Inc. will present "Retail 101: A Guide for New Store Owners." This workshop is geared toward helping the new store owner avoid the problems that can jeopardize their business and will feature insider tips on buying, sales and customer service. Global Purchasing Group will also present "The 5 Keys to Retail Success." Participants will learn how to optimize each area of their business in order to compete more effectively in today's market place.
INTIMA America - featuring The Intimate Apparel Salon - will be held August 3 - 5, 2003 at the North Pavilion of New York's Jacob Javits Center.
