From: FABRIC@MAGIC, NEWEST ADDITION TO MAGIC MARKETPLACE IN LAS VEGAS
The MAGIC Marketplace, world-renowned as being the most comprehensive fashion market in the world for men’s, women’s, kid’s, name brands, private label and sourcing, has now added fabric, trim and leather, making the event even more comprehensive than ever. Introduced as fabric@MAGIC in August 2003, MAGIC’s newest addition will return, February 23-26, 2004. Located in the North Hall of the Las Vegas Convention Center, fabric@MAGIC allows buyers to source everything in one place at the same time -- without having to go from show to show.
”Building on the tremendous success we had with its introduction this past summer, fabric@MAGIC offers designers and buyers a convenient West Coast venue to find fabric, trim and leather,” says Amy Bonomi, Show Director, fabric@MAGIC and the International Fashion Fabric Exhibition. “fabric@MAGIC also provides exhibitors the opportunity to reach a new world of potential customers.”

“I walked through the first fabric@MAGIC and I know that there will be potential customers either exhibiting at MAGIC or just walking the show to see what’s happening next season,” says Sachicko Barbasso, Sales & Marketing, Clarino America, makers of high quality synthetic suede and leathers, including Amaretta™, a collection exclusively for apparel lines. “I also know that the show organizers have matchmaking services and are really good at securing appointments with targets.”
“We had great success in meeting with major buyers at the first fabric@MAGIC show and we look forward to following up with them for new product requests as well as building our name recognition,” adds Chris Cho, Senior Marketing Manager of Popular Textile Corp, a domestic multi-product knitting mill and dye house, which will be showing expanded activewear and natural product lines.
fabric@MAGIC provides comprehensive exposure to all the buying channels of fabric including apparel designers, manufacturers, contractors, brand name suppliers, sourcing managers and private label buyers. MAGIC attracts 80,000 attendees from 80 countries and represents 3,000 apparel and accessory companies as well as 5,000 brands. Over 1,000 buyers from the Top 37 Apparel Retail Operating units (ranked by dollar volume) were represented at the February 2003 MAGIC Marketplace.
fabric@MAGIC will not only be the ultimate sourcing destination for fabric, trim, leather/suede, but also for new design technology and color/trend services. fabric@MAGIC will be located adjacent to The Sourcing Zone – a division of MAGIC dedicated exclusively to the contract manufacturing and private label business. This co-location will provide maximum synergy on the show floor and will assist both designers and buyers to shop the show with ease.
