Anoname Jeans has officially launched their women’s collection in Macy’s East and West. Although Anoname has had licensing deals in the past, Macy’s is the first nationwide retailer to distribute under the label Anoname. By early January, the line will also be available in such notable stores as Burdine’s, Bon Marche, and Los Angeles hot spot Fred Segal.
Since the line hitting the Macy’s floor early October, Anoname has been blowing off the racks, with re-orders coming in for three pant styles and two skirt styles just two weeks later. Anoname designer Melissa Hodgson says similar action for the men’s collection is in the workings.
“Individual style needs no name,” says New York fashionista and designer of Anoname Jeans, Melissa Hodgson. “I design jeans that my friends and I would wear. I wear my jeans to work, to meetings, and out at night. It’s confidence, it’s who I am, and that’s what you get with Anoname,” says Melissa.
The New York showroom opened in February 2004 and is quickly making a (no) name for itself. With new styles coming out by the week, the collection has also gotten its share of press, featured in both consumer and trade publications such as: Allure, InStyle, Lucky, MR, Playboy, Seventeen, Sportswear International, Teen People, and WWD. The Anoname Jeans men’s collection was profiled in DNR’s Fall Denim Guide.
Melissa Hodgson has worked with Juicy Couture and Kellwood during her years in the industry, and officially launched Anoname Jeans in November of 2003. Melissa runs her New York showroom, conducts all sales, and travels around the world to design and merchandise for the collection. The result is a personally owned and customer driven denim line that truly caters to individual style.

SKIRTS
With classic low-waists, A-lines, and flirty flares, Anoname skirts come in all lengths from micro-mini to bohemian floor-grazing styles. Anoname’s unique details of pleats, zippers and hardware range from clean and crisp to trendy and novel.
CAPRIS
Comfortable low waists and fitted silhouettes meet colossal cuffs, drawstring hems and the most detail found in any contemporary capri line today. From hot pants to clam diggers to pedal pushers, Anoname delivers fresh washes in high quality lightweight denim.
PANTS
Anoname’s classic cut has a medium to low waist and comes in all shades of denim from the darkest black wash to nearly bleached blue -- á la the “80’s”. The signature “A” jean boasts a feminine embroidered A on the back pocket, available in a variety of colors. Novelty jeans include tough and sturdy patch-work, painter pants and patterned denim. Distressed denim weekender styles from slim, trouser-fit essentials to wide-legged sailor pants in denim, corduroy and twill.
JACKETS
Blazer, biker and bomber jackets complete the Anoname Jeans collection. Washed and re-washed denims create a much-loved vintage look. Styles range from hip-length classic with fitted waist to a cropped bolero, to a belted trench. Blazers with puffed shoulders create effortless femininity and the signature silver button makes any jacket a classic.
