New Conference Center at the Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT) to host The Intimate Apparel Salon

New York, NY: The INTIMA America Group is pleased to announce an exciting new location for the upcoming edition of The Intimate Apparel Salon, the only trade show taking place during this fall’s Intimate Apparel Market Week. The show will inaugurate the newly constructed Conference Center of the renowned and globally respected Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT). Strategically located in the heart of Manhattan’s fashion district on 28 th Street and 7 th Avenue, FIT's innovative, state-of-the-art facility promises an elegant and fashionable backdrop for today’s hottest designs in lingerie, loungewear, daywear and swimwear. The conference center, along with a new pavilion, was recently completed after two years of construction. FIT’s mission of preparing future industry professionals for “excellence in design, fashion and business…fostering creativity, career focus and global perspective” is a perfect match for The Intimate Apparel Salon’s continued dedication to this industry.
Now in its 14 th year, the fall 2004 edition of The Intimate Apparel Salon will be opening its doors for two days (October 31 and November 1). A change from the previous three-day format was in response to the upcoming presidential elections taking place on November 2 nd as well as suggestions from attendees and exhibitors. Offering a more compact show will also provide exhibitors and buyers the benefit of focused time. Two full days will allow buyers to see the latest products, network, and write orders with new and established companies in two solid, action-packed days.
The 2004 Intimate Apparel Salon will feature some of the industry's top brands as well as several young, up-and-coming designers. The impressive list already includes Aubade, Chantelle, Christine Vancouver, Cosabella, Le Mystere, Les Precieux, Mary Green, Patricia Fieldwalker and many more. The contemporary yet intimate setting of FIT will be host to an exclusive line-up of the intimate apparel industry’s best this fall.
The Intimate Apparel Salon meets the need for seasonal Immediates and also features lingerie, swimwear, daywear and loungewear collections for Spring/Summer 2005. The show will be held on October 31 & November 1, 2004 at the Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT), Conference Center in New York, New York.
