preparing for the opening of its fourth boutique in the United States in Dallas this fall, Faconnable is already discussing future openings in other major markets across the country. The premium European men's and women's specialty apparel brand has its sights set on creating an additional New York boutique, to complement its existing Manhattan location on Fifth Avenue, in the spring of 2002. Faconnable also is investigating potential opportunities for the fall of 2002 in Chicago or West Palm Beach, Fla. And fashion aficionados can look forward to an opening in San Francisco, Boston and Phoenix in 2003. Each new boutique will evoke an emotional experience with its invigorating architectural style representative of the company's French Mediterranean heritage and culture. With its natural wood and stone finishes in lightly colored, open-air spaces, the Dallas boutique is scheduled to open October 5, 2001. "The casual, yet sophisticated, design of the new boutiques will truly embrace the art de vivre (art of life) and joie de vivre (joy of life) style of Faconnable," said Jim Schneider, divisional vice president of Faconnable USA. "Boutique-style shopping presents an amazing opportunity for us to communicate, on an even more personal level, the quality craftsmanship and luxurious fabrics that distinguish our collections." Each boutique will offer the entire collection of Faconnable men's and women's sportswear, dresswear, outerwear and accessories, all of which exude an understated elegance and timeless quality. Faconnable currently operates 41 boutiques worldwide. Its merchandise also is sold in specialty retail stores throughout Europe and in Nordstrom stores in the United States.
