This Year Chicago will be host to one of the most anticipated events of the year in the fashion industry, when dozens of the most celebrated, leading and cutting-edge designers from Chicago and the United States will present their 2006 Summer/Spring Collections.

This By invitation-only event promises to be one of the best organized venues to the fashion industry in the Chicago market to deliver a product worth of international recognition which is well deserved by Chicagoans and its talent.

It promises to be a platform to organize, centralize and rejuvenate the Chicago’s fashion industry and the Collections of American designers to become players in the cosmopolitan fashion world. In addition to this, to provide a bright, innovative stage for growing, established, and emerging designers to showcase their collections to international buyers, media, celebrities, and select style makers.

Consequently, many of the most exciting shops, ranging from world-famous designers to fabulous individual boutiques and salons in the Gold Coast will join forces to provide the finishing touch in the first ever fashion event in Chicago.

During Chicago Fashion Week, there will be a spectacular series of ongoing exclusive and high-energy fashion events.

These fashion shows will feature the vibrant collections of top designers, heralding an amazing caravan of accessories, make-up and hair designs, fun, exclusivity and luxury.

All private fashion shows will be held in the best showcase venues of Chicago.

Until now, Chicago Fashion Week 2005 is contemplating

Throughout Chicago Fashion Week 2005, we will also feature performances by some of the hottest new recording artists and special appearance by a secret celebrity will be promoted prior to the event.

Here are some fashion-related happenings that local and visitors can enjoy through this event.

 Fashion shows featuring circulating store collections as well as upcoming designer’s collections for 2006.

 Accessories Exhibits celebrating the breadth and depth of American accessory design--and accessories in general--as a vital, enduring, irresistible facet of the fashion industry. And remember, you can never have enough hats, gloves, shoes, watches, scarves, jewels…

 Cutting-edge video projections - with a moving collage of high-fashion designs sponsored by Louis Vuiton, fashion shows from the Capital of the world – Milan - and a historical composition of pictures showcasing how Chicago has become an International style center, housing many of the world's most exclusive boutiques and salons.

 A light pole "gallery" of banners sporting sketches of fashion students' original designs, along both sides of Oak Street.

 On-going interactive fashion-related activities and displays such make-up techniques seminars. Fashion stylists free consulting services.

NOTE: These shows are programmed to be private (Tents, clubs and theaters) and public (street) events.
