Gerber Technology’s North American Software Solutions Seminars energize leaders in the apparel industry. One-day seminars were held in San Francisco, Los Angeles and New York City where participants gathered for interactive demonstrations and discussions on Gerber’s newest software releases. With over 150 attendees present, representing more than 60 apparel companies, the seminars highlighted the new AccuMark™ V8, Gerber’s industry leading pattern design, grading and marker making software. NESTERserver™ and NESTERpack™ V6 automatic marker making and optimization solutions were also introduced, as well as WebPDM™ V4, Gerber’s market leading product lifecycle management tool. In addition, Vision® Fashion Studio, a conceptual and textile design product, and Browzwear’s V-Stitcher™ 3-dimensional pattern design software drew a lot of well-deserved attention.
“The tremendous response to these events is a testament as to how our advancements in technology greatly benefit our customers, providing them with more opportunities to save time, money and material,” commented Sabrena McBride, Director of Software Product Management. “We have a lot of exciting new products to demonstrate and it’s always a great experience to be able to discuss how they’ll benefit our users in a candid, open forum, as well as receive customer feedback for future development!”
In California, two guest speakers participated in the seminars. Steve Heard, Vice President of Archetype Solutions, Inc., innovator of an end-to-end solution that provides an affordable way to bring mass customization to the apparel industry, spoke in San Francisco. A dedicated GERBERsuite™ user, he discussed mass customization and how Archetype has implemented Gerber’s technology, in conjunction with its Made-to-Measure software, to enable retailers to bring affordable customized apparel to their consumers. In Los Angeles, Ilse Metchek, Executive Director of the California Fashion Association (CFA), discussed the trends in the California garment industry, as well as CFA’s role within it.
