The
American Apparel & Footwear Association (AAFA) has announced plans to host its semi-annual
Information Systems Committee meeting in conjunction with the April 21-23, 2009 edition of Technology Solutions Miami Beach. The decision gives the committee's senior-level IT executive membership the cross-over benefits of participating in the meeting and exploring the latest industry innovations and introductions at Technology Solutions, the premier exposition and conference for the information technology enabling today's sewn products industries.

"Technology is our industry's bedrock, driving innovation, growth, and setting the stage to capitalize on emerging marketplace opportunities," remarks
Kevin M. Burke,
President and CEO,
AAFA. "With the ISC's meeting to coincide with Technology Solutions, it provides a rich forum for the best in our industry to come together to learn and exchange best practices. We look forward to a great turnout."
"We decided to hold our spring meeting in conjunction with the trade show so our IT executives can take advantage of the various technologies that will be displayed, visit with the extensive assortment of solution providers exhibiting, and attend some the educational sessions that will be offered. This is what you call a 'Two for One' strategy augmenting a regular scheduled ISC meeting with a one-stop global sourcing and technology event for committee members," said
Jim Ashley,
ISC Chairman and VP of Global Information Technology,
Williamson-Dickie Manufacturing Company.
Through the resources of the
