Where to Buy Shoes

Where do you buy your shoes? Or maybe more importantly where should you buy your shoes?

To be honest, I am perfectly fine buying a t-shirt or a pair of socks without trying them on for size. However, when selecting shoes, I absolutely must test the fit and comfort. In my opinion, there is not many things more important then a comfortable pair of shoes (well, I am already married and really do not care about my appearance. Who am I trying to impress...). Anyway, trying on a pair of shoes is clearly an important factor when selecting appropriate footwear for purchase.

My original theory was based on the above mentioned, it is very important to shop at a brick and morter shoe store so that you can try on shoes before making a purchase. However, my wonderful wife has informed me that it is just as easy to order online and simply return the shoes if they do not fit. Apparently, many of the leading online shoe companies provide free shipping. Note: free return shipping is a current phenomenon and most likely will not last forever.

In my opinion, it is still a good idea to shop for shoes in an actual shoe store (women's shoe stores, men's shoe stores, children's shoe stores). However, if you prefer you can certainly shop online for shoes.
